Fatal Crash Kills Edgewater Man, Hospitalizes 2 Others: Police
EDGEWATER, MD - A Wednesday crash in Harwood killed an Edgewater man and hospitalized two others, police said.
Officers identified the deceased victim as 68-year-old Stephen Lee Horodyski.
Authorities said the crash happened around 9 p.m. on Solomons Island Road near Owensville Sudley Road.
A 2019 Ford Escape was heading south on Solomons Island Road when it crossed the center line and hit a northbound 2013 Ford Fiesta head-on, police said.
Officers said Horodyski, who was driving the Fiesta, was pronounced dead on the scene.
The adult passenger of the Fiesta suffered life-threatening injuries, authorities said.
The adult driver of the striking Escape sustained serious injuries, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said.
Officers are still investigating.
