Fatal Crash In South County Claims Woman's Life: Police
LOTHIAN, MD - A woman died Tuesday in a Lothian car crash, the Anne Arundel County Police Department said.
Officers identified the victim as 23-year-old Shaela Rene McCray of Lusby.
The wreck happened around 2:10 p.m. on Maryland Route 4 near Lower Pindell Road, authorities said.
Police said a 2018 Toyota Yaris hatchback was heading south on Route 4 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and hit a tree.
Calvert County fire officials pronounced the victim dead on the scene, a press release said.
Officers are still investigating the crash.
