Boat Parade Returning To South County, Viewers Can Watch From These Restaurants
DEALE, MD - A lighted boat parade is back in Deale this month.
Dubbed the Deale Parade of Lights, the event is scheduled for Dec. 12.
The parade will pass restaurants like Happy Harbor, Dockside and Skipper's Pier.
The parade starts at 6 p.m., but viewers are asked to arrive at a viewing location by 5:30 p.m. as high traffic is expected throughout Deale.
This year will be the first where viewers can vote on their favorite light display. Those details will be posted soon on the parade's Facebook page.
The parade will take place on Rockhold Creek, starting at Hidden Harbour Marina and heading south under the Deale Road bridge.
Boats that don't fit under the bridge will join the parade at Happy Harbor or Shipwright Harbor Marina.
The parade is still recruiting participants. Captains can sign up at this link.
