EDGEWATER, MD - Broadneck Grill and Cantina, a Mexican and American restaurant, closed its Edgewater location on Saturday after it was sold. The Cape St. Claire location will stay open.

An undisclosed farm-to-table restaurant will replace the Broadneck Grill in Edgewater. It's not yet known when the replacement eatery will open.

Broadneck Grill hosted a farewell party on Saturday with music, raffles and drinks.

"Thank you for your support and friendship," Broadneck Grill Edgewater said on Facebook, noting that it was open for more than 9 years.

Some employees will transfer to Cape St. Claire. Others will continue with the new restaurant.

"We have so many memories at Broadneck," regular customer Carolyn Robertson said on Facebook. "When my husband and I moved here, this is where we made new friends. And now it’s our daughter’s favorite restaurant! You guys will be greatly missed."

Broadneck Grill was located in the Edgewater Village Center at 74 W. Central Ave.

The other location is still open at 1364 Cape St. Claire Road.

More information on the restaurant is posted at broadneckgrill.com.
