Officer Arrested, Accused Of DUI: Anne Arundel County Police
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD - An Anne Arundel County Police Department officer was arrested this weekend "on suspicion of driving under the influence," authorities said.
Anne Arundel County police identified the suspect as off-duty Sgt. J. Redman. Officers did not release Redman's first name.
Redman was suspended with pay pending an investigation by the Office of Professional Standards, a press release said. This is normal protocol for officers charged with a crime.
The release said a sheriff's deputy arrested Redman this Saturday in Allegheny County, Virginia.
Redman is a 14-year veteran of the Anne Arundel County Police Department assigned to the Bureau of Operations and Investigations, authorities said.
