Puppy Plunge In Edgewater Will Feature Dog Beach, Pie-Eating, Food Trucks

EDGEWATER, MD - A puppy plunge will fundraise for the SPCA of Anne Arundel County this weekend in Edgewater.

The event will feature pups swimming on a dog beach and competing in a pie-eating contest.

The fun starts Sunday at 11 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m. The festivities are all at YMCA Camp Letts, located at 4003 Camp Letts Road. Entrance costs $10 per car at the gate.

The Eastport Oyster Boys will strum the tunes, so bring a blanket or a chair to enjoy the show. There will also be picnic tables in the shade.

A tiki bar from Moveable Mixtures will be open on-site.

Pooches can grab a snack from Rock's Canine Cuisine. Humans can enjoy food trucks like The Daily Crepe, Crabtown Curbs Cuisine, Harborque, Izzy's Concession & Grill, Kona Ice and Bragg Cafe.

There will also be vendors set up.

The pie-eating contest for big and small dogs is at 12:30 p.m. Participants can pre-register for free online and pay a $5 donation registration fee at the event. Registration is also open on the day of.

All proceeds will benefit the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
