Edgewater Man Charged with Sex Abuse of Minors

John Charles Villers-Farrow, 66, faces multiple charges and is currently being held on $800,000 bond.

Police arrested an Edgewater man on Wednesday after an investigation into allegations that he sexually abused children in the Edgewater area. Anne Arundel County police received information about the possible abuse in August and two adult male victims came forward to report incidents that occurred from 2000 to 2008, according to a press release. The abuse reportedly started when the victims were pre-teens until the time they were teenagers. The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office investigated the allegations and filed charges against John Charles Villers-Farrow, 66, of Edgewater. Sue's Deli Burglarized Early Friday Morning

Police said burglars forced their way into the business and stole an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are searching for suspects who broke into Sue’s Deli early Friday morning and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy told Patch officers received a report of a commercial burglary at 5:05 a.m. on Friday. Sue’s Deli owner said the suspects forced their way into the business and took money. Mulcahy said police have not identified anyone yet and the investigation is ongoing. A worker at Sue’s Deli said no one was injured during the break-in. Sue's Deli is located at 619 Central Ave E, Edgewater.

Man Burglarizes Home Without Power on July 4th

An Edgewater woman told police her windows and doors were open because she didn't have electricity.

A man burglarized an Edgewater home that was without electricity on the Fourth of July, taking a purse and its contents, according to an Anne Arundel County Police Department press release. Police responded to a call of a burglary on the 100 block of Washington Road in Edgewater at about 2 a.m. Officers said the homeowner said she awoke when she heard noises in her house. The woman told police she saw a man she didn’t know exiting her house through an open door. The homeowner left her windows and doors open because the power was out due to Friday’s storm, according to the press release. Baltimore Gas and Electric Co. officials said the utility restored power to about 85 percent of its customers, but more than 12,000 residents in Anne …

Man Reportedly Breaks Into Selby Sub Shoppe

Police are seeking information from the public that might lead to the arrest of an alleged burglar.

Update (9:57 a.m.)—Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man they said broke into the Selby Sub Shoppe in Edgewater on June 9. According to a police press release, a man wearing a collared shirt and baseball hat broke into the local sub shop, at 827 East Central Ave. The man took a cash register and an undisclosed amount of money, Anne Arundel County police spokesman Justin Mulcahy told Patch in an email. Using video surveillance, officers said they saw the man and his alleged vehicle, a late 1990s or early 2000s model Ford Econoline van, according to the release. Naked Man Fights Police in Edgewater

Police said Robert Salvatore Lamb of Annapolis faces multiple charges, including indecent exposure.

A naked man fought officers in Edgewater on Tuesday night after they tried to take him into protective custody, according to police. Police charged Robert Salvatore Lamb, 47, of the unit block of Acorn Drive in Annapolis with disorderly conduct, indecent exposure and resisting arrest. Anne Arundel County police said officers responded to a call around 8:40 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of Silver Run near Shore Drive in the Woodland Beach community. The caller told police that a naked man was acting irrationally on his front porch, according to the release.
