Edgewater Community Rallies to Help Oklahoma Tornado Victims

Stan and Joe’s Saloon, as well as an Edgewater resident, are helping to load trucks of supplies for those affected by the tornadoes in Oklahoma.

Just two days after the town of Moore, OK, was devastated by a tornado, the Edgewater community is rallying to help. What began as an endeavor by Stan and Joe’s to help one of their own has turned into a grassroots effort throughout the entire community. After seeing the damage done to the town, Henderson called Stan and Joe’s and asked for help. “He said he was heading to Oklahoma and wanted to fill a truck with supplies, and it turned into this beautiful monstrous thing,” said Stan and Joe’s co-owner Joe McGovern. The local saloon started taking donations around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, and by the time McGovern and his wife …
