Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Anne Arundel County

The National Weather Service predicts a mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain.

It wasn't a white Christmas, but snow started falling in Edgewater and Davidsonville on Wednesday morning.  All of Anne Arundel County is under a winter weather advisory from the National Weather Service (NWS) until 1 p.m., and roads throughout south county were looking pretty sloppy in some parts.  Residents throughout the area tweeted pictures and posted photos on Facebook. As the morning went on, the snow turned into a more unruly form of sleet and/or freezing rain—something the NWS said to be careful with.  "A winter weather advisory means that periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties," according to the release.
