Three men are accused of using a tire iron to threaten people in incidents in Severn and Hanover.
Anne Arundel County police have arrested three Glen Burnie men in connection with a string of robbery attempts in the Hanover and Severn area Monday afternoon. Officers found the men at a marina in Edgewater. Police said that three men either successfully robbed or attempted to rob people in three separate incidents near the Sam's Club in Severn and in the Arundel Mills area. Officers first responded at about 4:10 p.m. to the Sam's Club, where they spoke to a 49-year-old woman who said she was approached by a man who tried to grab her purse away from her. A woman was robbed of an unknown amount of cash while she was pulled over along Governor Bridge Road near Blackberry Lane in Davidsonville on Sunday evening, according to Anne Arundel County Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy. Police said the victim pulled over around 6:19 p.m. on Sunday to type an address into her GPS. The 21-year-old Bowie woman told police that shortly thereafter, a white compact car pulled over in front of her. According to the statement, the driver of the white car was a woman. After the white car stopped, the victim said a man got out and walked to the car. He first asked if everything was all right, the statement said.
