Policeman of the Year: Lt. Randall Gann
Southern District Community Policing group awards beat officer top honors.
Lt. Randall, "Randy," Gann was announced as the Officer of the Year at a celebration and ceremony at the southern district police station in Edgewater last week. Gann is a 22-year veteran of the Anne Arundel County Police Department. "He's as concientous now as he was when he was a rookie," Richard Meade, vice president of the southern district's community policing program said in annoucing the selection. Meade announced the win and also gave Gann a few gifts from local businesses, including a certificate for dinner at The Steakhouse in Edgewater.
