Nitro Circus Preps for Australian Tour Without Pastrana

Travis Pastrana's band of extreme-sport junkies are prepping in Davidsonville before heading to Australia.

Travis Pastrana's Nitro Circus television show used a frat boy-like style and took over the extreme sports world as they dared to conquer anything previously deemed as "impossible." Whether attempting backflips in a wheelchair (yes, that actually happened), or jumping over rivers in full-size rally cars, Pastrana and his band of extreme athletes have wowed audiences across the globe. What originally began as a television show, Pastrana, a Davidsonville resident, brought together the most daring and talented extreme-sport athletes to attempt the improbable. Good News........ Sounds like Travis may have made a decision that will move his career in a different direction. I'm looking forward to seeing his name among the top contenders in the "Four Wheels, High Horsepower" major league Motorsports arenas. Davidsonville's Travis Pastrana To Star in 3-D Film

The half-hour MTV show "Nitro Circus" has been made into a full-length feature film. It may be released by the summer.

Davidsonville's favorite daredevil-in-residence, Travis Pastrana, has done a little of this—X Games gold medalist, supercross, motocross, freestyle motocross—and a little of that—rally racing, stunt performances, NASCAR Nationwide Series driver. Possibly as soon as this summer, the 29-year-old can add motion picture star to the mix with his upcoming movie, Nitro Circus 3D. In 2009, Pastrana and his team of stunt and daredevil friends launched Nitro Circus as a show on MTV. It was a half-hour spinoff of the Johnny Knoxville series, Jackass. Nitro Circus is different than Jackass in that the cast imagines dangerous, difficult or funny stunts, then conduct tests to be able to pull off the stunt by the end of the show.
