Captain Avery Museum Exhibit Features National Geographic Photojournalists
Tom and Lynn Abercrombie spent decades taking photos around the world for National Geographic before later settling down in Shady Side.

A new exhibit, Traveling the World, featuring the photographs of National Geographic photojournalists Lynn Abercrombie and her late husband Tom will open on Nov. 2 at the Captain Avery Museum, 1418 EW Shady Side Rd. Guests are invited to arrive at 7 p.m. for refreshments. At 7:30 p.m., their daughter, Mari Abercrombie, will describe the process of bringing her mother’s book, Traveling the World for National Geographic, to print, compiling decades of photographic history, family anecdotes, and memories.
