Man Gathering Notes of Encouragement, Support for Newtown
In a letter to the editor, bullying prevention expert Joe Van Deuren explains how he hopes to comfort those affected by the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting.
Like many people throughout the country, local bullying prevention expert Joe Van Deuren said he felt deeply moved by the school shooting in Newtown, CT. As a response to the tragedy, Van Deuren is organizing a special effort to gather notes of encouragement and love for families affected directly by the shooting. In a special letter to the editor, he explains what he wants to do and invites the community to participate. With the recent events in Connecticut all of us have been struck by very deep emotions and feelings of wanting to help and support the families involved.
