Local Gymnasts Bring Home Gold
Four national champions return from Arizona meet.
Local gymnastics team, Win Win gymnastics from Odenton, returned from the National Judges Cup in Phoenix with four National Champions. Over the course of the two-day meet in Phoenix, Jan. 7-8, the six ladies chosen to represent Maryland place seventh overall in the State Team Challenge. They brought home 19 medals, including; four gold, four silver, four bronze and seven medals ranging from fourth place to ninth place. The team of six Level 7 Junior Olympic gymnasts, ranging in age from 9 to 11 was the youngest group of girls at the competition and secured the State of Maryland’s first-time ever placement in the 21-year competition’s top 10 teams for their level.
