Edgewater Man Dies in Route 50 Motorcycle Crash

Francis Patrick Digirolomo dies, wife injured, in collision of their motorcycle and a car.

An Edgewater man died and his wife was seriously injured last week in the collision of their motorcycle and a car on Route 50 in Dorchester County, according to Maryland State Police.  In the Aug. 22 accident, Francis Patrick Digirolomo, of Edgewater, was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Debbi Jo Digirolomo, suffered serious injuries and was transported by paramedics to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, according to a media statement. A preliminary investigation showed that a Toyota Prius, driven by Hussein L. Khan of Potomac, made a left turn off westbound Route 50 onto Linkwood Road when it “collided with the path of [Digirolomo’s] Harley Davidson motorcycle,” heading east on Route 50, according to police.
