Kahve Cafe Wins Capital's Coffee Madness Tournament

Owner Joe Valentino's hard work is paying off now that more people are enjoying one of Edgewater's newest cafes.

Since opening Kahve Cafe on June 18, 2011, owner Joe Valentino has only taken three days off. Three days—that’s it. But now, after battling long hours and the stress of opening a new business, Valentino and his staff are seeing the fruits of their labor. Earlier this week, The Capital announced that Kahve Cafe won its Coffee Madness Tournament. For weeks, the competition—styled like the NCAA mens basketball tournament—pitted cafes against one another for three-day periods to see which local residents preferred. Support Kahve Cafe in 'Coffee Madness Tournament' Finals

The local cafe is in the finals of The Capital's "Coffee Madness Tournament," pitting two local coffee shops against one another.

Edgewater’s Kahve Cafe is in the finals for this year’s Coffee Madness Tournament, hosted by The Capital newspaper. For weeks, the competition—styled like the NCAA mens basketball tournament— has pitted two cafes against one another for three-day periods to see which is best, using the number of redeemed coupons from The Capital as the determining factor. This week marks the “finals,” putting Kahve Cafe against Eggcellence of Annapolis.
