The Chick-fil-A in Edgewater is celebrating its ninth anniversary by giving away free cookies. The fast food chain tweeted Thursday morning that in honor of its ninth year in business it would be giving out cookies to its customers. An employee with Chick-fil-A said they are handing out coupons for the cookies Thursday only, and no purchase is necessary. Chick-fil-A also announced this week that it will be giving out free breakfast on Thursday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 7 to costumers who recite the phrase, “The early bird gets the chicken,” at the register.

Between 6:30 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 24, 31 and Feb. 7 customers who say “The early bird gets the chicken” at the register will receive a free pre-selected breakfast entree, according to a release. Entree choices will vary by restaurant, but could include: Chick-fil-AChicken Biscuit; Spicy Chicken Biscuit; Chick-n-Minis (3-count or 4-count); Sausage, Egg and Cheese Biscuit; Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuit; Chicken Breakfast Burrito and Sausage Breakfast Burrito.
