SUV Crashes Into Edgewater IHOP

Eyewitnesses told Patch it sounded like a bomb had gone off inside the restaurant.

A grey Mercedes SUV crashed into the Edgewater IHOP on Saturday morning, cracking a brick facade and damaging the interior of the restaurant. For local breaking news, follow Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch on Facebook and Twitter.  Eyewitnesses and patrons inside the restaurant told Patch they heard an explosion-like noise and then looked to see that a car had driven into the wall facing the Giant. Firefighters, police and a building inspector were on the scene assessing the damage.
