Patuxent River Road Crash Claims Two Lives

Police say a woman and a 14-year-old boy were both killed when their car struck a tree Friday night.

Two Davidsonville residents, including a teenager, were killed Friday night when their car stuck a tree on Patuxent River Road, according to Anne Arundel County Police. Carrie Lynn Desmond, 36, of Davidsonville, was killed when the Ford Focus she was driving crashed into a tree in the 3600 block of Patuxent River Road near West Central Avenue, police stated in a press release. A 14-year-old boy, of the same address, was also killed. Police responded to Patuxent River Road for the report of a single vehicle crash around 10:03 p.m. When officers arrived on scene they located a 2012 Ford Focus with two critically injured passengers inside, police said. Patuxent River Road Crash Sends 2 To Hospital

Fire officials said the crash occurred just after 10 p.m. on Friday night.

Two people were seriously injured in a car accident involving one vehicle Friday night, according to a spokesman from the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.  Lt. Cliff Kooser said the crash occured at 10:05 p.m. Friday night on Patuxent River Road just south of Route 214, which is near Davidsonville. A male in his 20s was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore, and a female, also in her 20s, was taken to Prince George's Trauma Center, according to Kooser. Both face serious and life-threatening injuries. No details on what caused the crash are available at this time.
