South River Athlete Named All-Metro

Bre Bolden was named to The Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro selection.

A South River High School standout athlete has been named to The Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro team. Senior basketball star Bre Bolden was the lone South River athlete recognized by The Sun. Bolden earned first-team All-Metro honors. The Baltimore Sun’s All-Metro team honors top athletes from area schools. Bolden was a member of the 2012-2013 South River girls basketball team. She helped lead the team to the Class 4A girls basketball region final where they fell to North Point. Patch spoke with Bolden in January about her expectations for the team and her plans for the future. Bre Bolden is a senior on the South River High School girls basketball team.

Patch stopped by South River High School on Jan. 31 and spoke with senior Bre Bolden, 18, about her basketball career and life at SRHS. Patch: What is your favorite South River basketball memory? Bre Bolden: I like all the team bonding. Not just at practice—we go out to eat together too. Patch: How is your season going so far and what are your expectations heading into the postseason.
