Three Youths Charged with Arson in Boat Fire
Two 12-year-old girls and one 13-year-old boy are charged with arson in an Edgewater boat fire Tuesday night.
Anne Arundel County fire investigators have charged two 12-year-old girls and a 13-year-old boy with arson in Tuesday night’s boat fire in Edgewater. According to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department, the three youths were arrested on juvenile citations and have been charged with first-degree malicious burning, second-degree malicious burning, reckless endangerment and making a false statement to a police officer. All three were released into the custody of their parents. The boat fire occurred in the 1000 block of Old Turkey Point Road in Edgewater just before 8 p.m. Fire officials said the boat was completely involved in flames between two homes.
