AutoZone Coming to Edgewater
The store is being built on Route 2 next to the Sonic.
An AutoZone will soon take up residence in Edgewater. Construction crews have already begun work on Route 2. According to Tracie Reynolds, a spokesperson for Anne Arundel Planning and Zoning, permits for the AutoZone were approved in December 2012 and the builder has since started construction. A few Patch readers began noticing the construction this week. Despite the cold, crews have been digging in the area next to the Sonic on Route 2 throughout the week. Patch was not able to confirm an opening date for the AutoZone, and will provide updates when more information becomes available.
