Three Vehicle Collision Leaves Three Seriously Injured

Two pickup trucks collided with a minivan sending three people to shock trauma on Friday in Harwood.

Three people were seriously injured Friday afternoon in a three vehicle accident on Solomons Island Road in Harwood. A 2004 Ford F350 was traveling south on Solomons Island Road around 4 p.m. when it struck a 2006 Chrysler minivan that was stopped preparing to turn into a driveway near Harwood Road, according to police. The minivan was pushed by the force of the accident into the path of a GMC pickup truck, which struck the van. The driver of the Ford and two occupants in the van were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma center for treatment, according to police. The driver of the GMC truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to Anne Arundel Medical Center. Police did not release the names of those injured. A preliminary …

Edgewater Remembers Coach Mike Bullock

"He had a 1,000 reasons—no, 1,003 reasons, to live," his friend Jeff Dibler said.

Coach Mike Bullock, a personal trainer at Edgewater Fitness who was also a coach for the U.S. Navy Women’s Rugby team, head coach for Cape St. Claire youth sports football, and former coach at St. Mary’s High School, was killed on Route 50 West at Cape St. Claire Road on Saturday. His death has shocked the youth athletes, parents, fellow coaches, fraternity brothers, and friends and colleagues who knew him. Jeff Dibler is the manager of Edgewater Fitness where Bullock worked as a personal trainer, a spin instructor and was about to launch a sport-specific program next week at the gym. I have been a friend of "Big Mike" for over 6 years and he has been a inspiration and almost like a mentor to me.
