Dave, As a local business owner myself. It is nice to see that you are on top of everything at the bsuiness and can respond to inaccurate reviews. I have been a customer at the Washhaus since you opended and recommend it to my friends and clients....

I own a business on Rt 2 and am so pleased to have the Washaus in town. I have gone several times and the service has been so professional. My car is sooo happy. I try to ask my clients if they have tried the new car wash in town and tell them the need to if they haven't. I wish them much success.

Ms. Rebecca,
Thanks for coming into Washhaus. I am one of the owners (along with my brother). I wanted to share your experience (via security camera review) with my employees as an educational tool. I was quite surprised that some of the information you posted was not quite accurate.

Your review was posted here on Patch at 2:59pm today --- of the 174 vehicles that went thru the wash before 2:59 pm, every single vehicle was instructed by our staff at the entrance to the wash bay - every one. (I've spent the last hour+ reviewing the video. )
Also, I can honestly say that at no point today was our City Dock Coffee empty (I'm the person who refilled it all day long.)
Upon review of the tape, there was always at least one of the managers in the vacuum area all day. Managers do often help our employees cleaning cars, so possibly they were inside a vehicle and not easily enough visible for you?

Another odd fact is your claim of multiple unanswered phone calls. We received only two unanswered phone calls before 2:59pm today. They were each from two separate numbers - one of them was actually from a competing car wash... I've posted a photo of our Caller ID in our photo section!

We truly appreciate honest reviews, good or bad. An (accurate) bad review is an opportunity for improvement - and that's ok.
We have never once posted a bad review about any of our competition. We would appreciate the same consideration towards us.

Ten Genese -

I am one of the owners of Washhaus (we're a family business). When I read your review I was very upset, first because a customer felt they did not receive proper service at our business and secondly, because you said your first review did not show up on Patch.
I contacted the patch.com administrator to make sure that someone's review (positive or negative) wasn't "shelved" or something to protect businesses from bad reviews. Patch responded said that the above was the only review they have received from you.
If you would please contact me directly, I would like to offer you a refund for your wash. Also, if you can pass on the date and time you were here - I would like to go back on our security camera system and review what happened.
My brother and myself are here at the wash all day, everyday, because we want each customer to be completely satisfied. We greatly appreciate any comments, good or bad - it helps us improve our service for everyone. We accept comments thru our web site, you can call us at the wash: 410-956-9274, or please ask for my brother (Ryan) or me here at the wash.

Just left the WashHaus.. I have driven by a few times and thought about stopping in but it looks like a ghost town. There is never more than 2 or 3 cars there. Well now I know why. The attendant ringing in my wash did not explain anything to me, she simply handed me the list and waited for me to read and make my own decision. After driving through the wash myself with no direction from employees, I pulled into their vacuum lanes and went inside only to be further disappointed. The "free coffee" was empty however there was not an employee for me to tell. It only took about 10 minutes to vacuum my car but I could have done a better job myself. I attempted to tell the attendent that I was unhappy but they did not know what I was saying. I left with an unclean car and attempted to call the manager, however there was no answer multiple times. Needless to say.. I will not be going back to WashHaus.

I'm going agree with the previous posts. I went to the WashHaus yesterday on my second visit. This time I got the top-of-the-line wash and interior cleaning. The exterior wash does a very good job but the best part is the interior work and exterior wax. After the wash, I went to the designated vacuum/interior station and got out. The female attendant started on my car. The spray-waxed the exterior, another worker worked on the wheels and tires and I think another one did the vacuuming. They even put a very nice smelling scent in the car. And, another great part is all of this was only $30, which is $20 cheaper than Maritime for the same cleaning, and a lot closer to my home in Mayo. Plus, I think they do a better job. They really seem to care. I saw the girl really working on a spot that was hard to reach. Kudos to WashHaus. I'll be back!!!

Totally impressed on my first visit. I brought in my truck after a road trip to Western MD. Where we went off-roading. In the mud. With two dogs. We literally had mud, bugs, bird poop, and grime coated on this thing up to the roof all the way around, and dog hair and more mud all over the inside. I'm still not entirely sure how, but it was essentially ALL gone after they got done. Even the chunks stuck up in the wheel wells and that french fry in between the seats. The place was busy, but efficient, and all the attendants happily answered questions and pointed folks in the right direction. The free coffee and giant TVs in the waiting area were nice, and it was actually comfy and quiet enough to make a couple business calls while I waited.

Really, any decent place that puts forth an effort can get a car cleaned up. What set Washhaus apart, though, was what I witnessed while I was waiting. An employee (maybe the owner, I couldn't tell) came in and talked to another customer who had brought in his truck, told him that there was still some crud in the bed that didn't get washed out, and offered to take the truck through the wash again to make sure it was cleaned up. Sure, it was a small gesture, but I (sadly) can't remember the last time I saw someone go out of their way to make something right before the customer even noticed. These folks actually give a crap about what they're doing, and that's why I'll be coming back.

Just went thru the WASHHAUS for the first time and I must say I am very impressed by the layout! Easy access, easy exit. No waiting for people in front of me to get a car vacuumed before entering the carwash. All vacuum services and extras are done at the end of the wash. Since I did get the vacuum, I went to one of the many vacuum stations and went inside to wait. Very nice, clean and comfortable waiting area. WI-FI, TV's, leather sofa and chairs and a couple high tables with chairs and a coffee bar. What I really liked was the fact that I was not pressured to buy something while I was waiting inside. It was just that, a waiting area. Great job to the employees who were very nice and the service was excellent. Somebody was thinking when they built this, they hit it right on the mark.

I used to take my car to Maritime until for some reason their service stacked off, so for months I've been going to the cheapest and closest wash. Since my car needed a good clean, I tried Washhaus last week. I was VERY impressed with the service and I don't believe my car has been cleaner! I'll definately return when this rain spell is over. Thank you.

I have been several times and they do a marvelous job! It's quick and they haven't missed a spot yet on the car. I'm a bit of a fanatic about my car and keeping it clean and don't trust too many wash places, but these folks really know what they are doing. I have a monthly subscription to the Canton Car Wash because I work in the city and I didn't think anyone could beat them, but Washhaus has exceeded my expectations. Service was friendly and the process is easy. The coupons are great, too!

I am a new monthly customer and have been there several times already. The customer service is wonderful, and my car is SUPER clean each & every time! I would also like to thank Washhaus for helping out our schools annual auction! Windy Hill Elementary has an auction every year to raise money for technology and I contacted Washahus as soon as they opened, they GRACIOUSLY donated a $100 gift certificate. We are so grateful!!!!!!!

what a great experience. You drive your own vehicle through the car wash first and then attendants direct your cars to individual bays for interior and wheel and polish items. The owners thoughtfully built huge umbrellas to protect employees from the summer sun! They were busy but I did not feel rushed.

I wish the owners nothing but good luck on this great venture- Well done.

Everyone was pleasant and helpful with smiles. Owners were present and were providing oversight. I will return! With all of the cars in our area there is room for this carwash!!

I visited the Washhaus this past Thursday for the first time. I thought that everyone was friendly and helpful. I used to be a monthly customer at Maritime but cancelled in december because everytime it snows the lines are way TOO long no matter what time I went up there. While Washhaus may not be as "flashy" as Maritime in the waiting area, etc, I liked the fact that I left with a clean car inside and out and that I was able to do so in about 15 minutes. I will go back again.....

My earlier review has not shown up so, I am reposting my review.

So sad. I wanted to switch my monthly carwash membership to Washhaus because it is closer to my home but the service was not good at all.

I went a few days ago when the carwash was not busy. The young man who was supposed to dry my car simply flung a wet towel at it.

The kids in the Kmart parking lot do a much better job for less money.

I am sticking with Maritime.

Sorry Washhaus. Customer service is the most important aspect of a business.
