Ledo has been making pizza since 1955 when the first restaurant opened in Adelphi, Md. This Edgewater location opened in 1996 and has become a popular spot for the community.

Ledo's pizza is hand-rolled to order with freshly made dough. The pepperoni is hand cut so you get bigger pieces. The iconic rectangular pizza began in the 1950s when square baking pans were common. Since then, most pizza parlors have gone to the round pizza pan, but Ledo continues to use the rectangular pan to offer more pizza to the customer.

In the 1950's it wasn't unusual to see members of the Washington Senators and a couple New York Yankees grabbing a Ledo Pizza.

The restaurant also serves lasagna, spaghetti, calzones, soup, salad and subs made with freshly baked bread as well as breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
