7:45 p.m.@CarrollVarsity just reported on Twitter that officials are letting fans back into UMBC Stadium. Let's keep our fingers crossed that we can get this game in.

7:22 p.m.—Sources at the game are telling me the weather is U-G-L-Y. Let's hope they can finish this thing tonight.

6:42 p.m.—The game could resume around 7 p.m. pending any more lightning sightings or heavy rain.

6:14 p.m.—With about two minutes left in the game, officials pause action for a thunder/lightning/rain delay. Players and fans clear the field. The delay is 30 minutes long from the last "lightning sighting."

6:07 p.m.—South River are just five minutes away from claiming the Class 4A/3A Lacrosse State Championship after an improbable comeback from being down 7-0 early on. A win would be amazing.

5:55 p.m.—South River's goalie, Nick Marcelino is playing a heck of a game. South River still leads 9-8 after going down 7-0 in the first quarter. Only one quarter left to play.

5:51 p.m.—South River earns an "extra man offense" after a hard foul by Westminster just before the end of the third quarter.

5:47 p.m.—Westminster quickly ends its drought with a goal. All tied up 8-8 in the state championship.

5:45 p.m.—What a turn of events. South River scores two quick goals to take the lead. 8-7 South River!

5:43 p.m.— the key to victory would be solid defense. Ever since the first quarter ended, the Seahawks have shut out the Owls.

5:12 p.m.—Seahawks score again! They're only down 7-3 now with 2:10 left in the half.

5:10 p.m.—South River scores twice! They're finally on the board, but still down 7-2 with about two minutes left in the half.

5:00 p.m.—This isn't looking good. Westminster scores its sixth unanswered goal. Owls up 6-0.

4:53 p.m.—And that's the end of the first quarter! Westminster leads 5-0. The Seahawks will look to turn things around as soon as possible. Defense has been the team's biggest strength, but obviously the Owls have had some answers.

4:48 p.m.—Westminster is dominating the Seahawks right now. The Owls have scored goal number five against South River with 4:14 left in the first quarter.

4:46 p.m.—South River concedes another goal. Westminster lead 4-0 with six minutes left in the opening quarter.
