Boys Lacrosse: South River Trounces North Point

The Seahawks defeated North Point 21-0 on Wednesday.

The South River boys lacrosse team stormed through the first round of postseason play with a 21-0 victory over North Point on Wednesday night in Edgewater.

The defending state champion lacrosse team easily handled an inferior North Point and moves on to play county foe Broadneck High in the second round Friday night.

South River defeated Broadneck 10-7 on March 21. The No. 6 Bruins knocked off No. 11 Severna Park on Wednesday night to advance to the second round.

The South River girls lacrosse team received a No. 2 seed and a first-round bye. The Seahawks will begin postseason play on Friday when they host Northern High School.
