Edgewater Acupuncture Receives Grant to Treat Addictions

The grant provides enough funds for 80 treatments.

Edgewater Acupuncture has received a great from Damien’s Recovery, Inc. to provide treatments to individuals coping with addictions, according to a release issued by the business. 

"[Five] small needles placed in each ear help to curb cravings and withdrawal symptoms from a variety of substances including alcohol, drugs, cigarettes and sugar," states the release. 

The funds from the grant are enough to provide 80 treatments, according to the release. 

The acupuncturists at Edgewater Acupuncture provide treatments on a sliding scale of $15 to $35, not including a one-time $10 paperwork fee for new patients. Practitioners treat people suffering from a variety of conditions, including anxiety, addiction, stress and chronic pain.

Edgewater Acupuncture is located at 153 Mayo Rd., Suite 5 in Edgewater. Hours of operation are 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. To make an appointment, call 443-540-3350, or go online here.
