POLL: Should Leopold Resign?

In light of the recent indictment, Patch asks if the Anne Arundel County executive should step down.

On Wednesday, an Anne Arundel County grand jury indicted County Executive John Leopold on four counts of misconduct in office and one count of fraudulent misappropriation by a fiduciary, according to a press release.

The state prosecutor's office announced Friday that Leopold is accused of using his executive protection staff to escort him to a parking lot for “sexual activity with another county employee [in 2010].”

In light of these allegations, do you think Leopold should resign or step down temporarily? Cast your vote below in our poll.

Can't understand why they would Indict him without good, solid evidence... He's not going to step down, he's not that person.... Is he Guilty? I believe so because I have heard of some of his antics first hand. Will justice be served... we will see, as one of you said his terms will be over by the time it all gets resolved. Thank God for Karma...

YOU'RE ASSUMING THAT WE AGREE THAT CURRIE SHOULD STAY IN OFFICE. THAT ASSUMPTION IS FALSE IN MANY CASES.

I have been watching Mr Leopold for some time and except for women problems all I see is a man who really stands up for the people of AA Cnty....If you look at what he as done except for his women problems he really fights for us....IE. fairness when it comes to immigration, property taxes, septic problems, school problems and it goes on and on......he has to go by the rules of the land and office so we have to tighten his reigns and let him do the work he has been doing....if he can't do that then he will have to leave and he should hang his head in shame....he as done this to himself.....no one has done this to him...

We have not heard his side of this yet., so how dare we judge him. I am intelligent enough to know that what is Legal does not always mean it is Right. Let us see what the court decides.

Sir Your retoric leaves me to believe that anything you do is OK as long as you are not convicted of it in court. Where is your conscience?
