Police Seize $250K in Drugs, Cash; Arrest Two for Trafficking

Two Glen Burnie residents were arrested in a drug crackdown by local and federal authorities. Heroin and crack cocaine worth $180,000 was seized.

Drugs worth an estimated $180,000, plus about $170,000 in cash, were seized when Anne Arundel County Police searched a Glen Burnie house that had been the target of a drug investigation.

Local police officers assisted agents from the Drug Enforcement Administration with a search and seizure warrant at 8051 Solley Road in Glen Burnie on April 8.

Detectives seized:

  • about 919 grams of heroin with an estimated street value of $91,900,
  • about 710 grams of crack-cocaine with an estimated street value of $71,000,
  • about 12 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,200,
  • and about 50 grams of marijuana with an estimated street value of $1,000.

Detectives also seized $172,673 in currency, a loaded Derringer .22 caliber handgun and numerous drug paraphernalia items.

Two suspects were arrested and charged.

Tion Renard Fox, 34, of 8051 Solley Road in Glen Burnie was charged with: possession of heroin (large amount), possession of crack-cocaine (large amount), possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of crack-cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm with a nexus to a drug trafficking crime, possession of heroin, possession of crack-cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug production equipment, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The second suspect was taken into custody on April 18. Alvis Rene Fox, 57, of 8051 Solley Road in Glen Burnie was charaged with: possession of heroin with intent to distribute possession of crack-cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute possession of a firearm with a nexus to a drug trafficking crime, possession of heroin, possession of crack-cocaine, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug production equipment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
