UPDATE (2:25 p.m. Friday)—Police located Randall "Randy" Larsen, who was previously reported missing, safe and unharmed in the area of Loch Haven Road and Central Avenue on Friday, according to police spokesman Justin Mulcahy.

Anne Arundel County police asked for the public's help on Thursday in locating Larsen, who left his home on Jan. 6 and did not return.

Police said Larsen was last seen leaving his home in the 3600 block of 1st Avenue in Edgewater with a sleeping bag and camping gear, and was believed to be in the area near Selby Beach or Coxby Estates.

Larsen was reported missing on Jan. 11 and family said he may have been despondent over a recent death in the family, according to a police press release.

Police describe Larsen as a 55-year-old white man with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, standing 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 165 pounds.
