Neighbors heard a Lothian woman scream for help and beg for someone to call 911 Tuesday morning.
As neighbors converged on a mobile home in Patuxent Mobile Estates they told Anne Arundel County Police they saw a man hide a screwdriver under a storage shed.
The tool, police say, was used by Michael Idemudia, 27, of 23 Patuxent Mobile Estates in Lothian to stab his 20-year-old sister and then his mother after she tried to intervene.
Neighbors called police at 9:39 a.m. to report Idemudia had attacked his family. Police officers arrived to find Idemudia on the ground being detained by several people.
Inside the residence, Idemudia’s 54-year-old mother was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. His sister was found in an adjacent mobile home, also suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The injuries for both victims appear to be non-life threatening in nature. Idemudia’s mother was taken to Prince George’s County Shock Trauma, while his sister was taken to Calvert Memorial Hospital. The mother is in stable condition.
Police say that Idemudia began stabbing his sister in an unprovoked assault. When his mother intervened, she was then stabbed.
Michael Idemudia has been charged with attempted murder, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.
