Crews Battle House Fire in Edgewater

Fire officials said it took 37 firefighters to battle the blaze.

Anne Arundel County firefighters responded to a house fire on Grange Road in Edgewater Wednesday night.

According to Division Chief Keith Swindle, crews arrived at 7:30 p.m. and saw smoke coming from a one-story home. They requested additional units and the fire became an all-hands incident.

It took 37 firefighters about 45 minutes to battle the blaze, according to Swindle. There were no reports of injuries and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
