A boater who died Friday in Anne Arundel County may have suffered a heart attack on the water.
Police from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources were called around 5:30 p.m. Friday after a man was found dead in Plum Creek, which is off the Severn River in Crownsville, reports FOX DC. Police say the man was 66 years old and they believe he was coming from Baltimore's Middle River area.
Police Spokeswoman Candy Thomson told WJLA TV the victim was piloting a 33-foot center-console boat back from a trip through Middle River to Plum Creek when he suffered a medical emergency and fell into the water.
Another spokesman for the Natural Resources Police, Sgt. Brian Albert, says the man may have suffered a heart attack.
Police have not released the deceased man's name.
