Philip Russo, 86, of Davidsonville. Died on July 23. Survived by his four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Russo served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II and later participated in a number of business ventures. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus as well.
Zula Maria Proffitt, 95, of Edgewater. Died on July 14. Survived by her husband of 63 years, Owen Proffitt, and their two daughters. Proffitt served in the Signal Corps during World War II, loved reading and was a prize-winning quilter. She and her husband loved dancing and traveling together.
