A south county man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after he allegedly shot his girlfriend in the upper body during an argument Friday morning in North Beach.
Police arrested Kenneth William Mitchell II, 34, after he allegedly shot a 26-year-old woman who was his girlfriend at a home on Alabama Avenue. The woman was in serious but stable condition as of Friday morning.
