1. Little Caesars Pizza Coming to Edgewater
Edgewater will soon be home to a Little Caesars Pizza. The chain is opening a new location inside the Kmart on Solomons Island Road. A store manager at Kmart confirmed that plans for a Little Caesars Pizza are in the works, however they could not give an exact opening or construction date because they are still waiting on permits from the county.

The Anne Arundel County Board of Education got a first look on Wednesday at proposals that would end the ban of some social media sites in schools and offer guidelines for appropriate conduct when using social media.

3. Three SRHS Athletes Sign to Play in College
According to athletic director David Klingel, football standout Lavon Chaney has committed to play football at Monmouth. Field hockey star Abbey Lawrence will be playing at Lasalle, and Michael Seaberg will swim at Duke.

4. New Program Gives Amazon Kindles to Troops
A program called Operation Feeks' Fires has been introduced to honor the fallen Edgewater Navy SEAL who was killed in Afghanistan. The program "provides Kindle Fire devices to combat veterans with invisible wounds (PTSD)"

The 14U Storm placed second in the MD Juniors 14’s Open Tournament, which is the more competitive pool in the contest. The 14U Surge placed first in MD Juniors 14’s Club Tournament.
