5 Things To Know This Week: Archeology Event, Fire Dept. Breakfast

This week you can learn about archeology at the library and watch South River's girls basketball team in the playoffs.

1. South River Girls Basketball Postseason Play
South River High School
South River is fresh from a victory over Arundel in the county championship game and has earned a first round bye along with a No. 2 seed in the Class 4A girls basketball tournament.

2. 'Dig In' to Archaeology at Edgewater Library
Tuesday, 4 p.m.
Edgewater Library
Archaeology in the Community will be at the library on Tuesday to talk to kids about the archaeological experiences they can encounter in their own communities.

3. Yellowfin in Annapolis Restaurant Week
Feb. 25 to March 3
Where: Yellowfin Steak & Fish House and participating Annapolis restaurants
Details: The Edgewater business is one of 41 area restaurants participating in Annapolis Restaurant Week, which is hosted by the Annapolis Business Association.

4. Rita's Begins New Season
Opened on Friday

Rita's in Edgewater began a new season on Friday.

5. Country Breakfast
Saturday, 8-11 a.m.
Deale Volunteer Fire Department (6007 Drum Point Rd., Deale)
Details: Deale Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Country Breakfast fundraiser. Cost is $7 per person and children 5-and-under are free.
