In a special seminar, David Knox will be at the Annapolis Elks Lodge to help real estate agents learn special new techniques when selling a home.

A top sales trainer and real estate expert will speak at a free seminar in two weeks at the to help local agents better understand the current market and how to sell a home.

David Knox, a top sales trainer who helps real estate agents master selling and negotiating skills, is scheduled to share his Solving the Inventory Crisis! How We Can All Get More Listings Now seminar. From 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 19, real estate agents from all over will have a chance to learn from Knox’s wisdom and expertise.

According to a press release by Champion Realty, Knox started selling residential real estate in 1972 and has been recognized internationally for delivering common sense, practical methods in a unique and entertaining way.

In 1987, Knox began his own training company and started offering seminars to people around the world, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa, according to the release.

“This is a crazy real estate market,” Jon Coile, CEO and president of Champion Realty, said in the release. “Some areas have substantially recovered, but prospective sellers haven’t gotten that memo. Listing inventory is down to less than three months’ supply in some neighborhoods. At the current sales pace, every house on the market will be under contract in three months and we’ll have nothing to show to new buyers. The real estate industry needs more listings now, so we decided to sponsor a free seminar to restock the shelves for fall. There is nobody better on this topic than David Knox.”

The seminar in Edgewater also includes an interactive video presentation on 10 secrets of Olympic athletes that apply to selling real estate, Knox said.

After the seminar there will be a free crab cake lunch as well, according to the release.

Register for the event by calling Linda Doherty, Champion’s director of education and training, at 410-975-3322.
