Several men strutted around in elaborate bras Wednesday night as part of the first-ever “Bras for the Cause” fundraiser in Edgewater, benefiting local breast cancer patients.
While men donned the unusual undergarments at Yellowfin Steak & Fish House, event attendees bid on the bras themselves—some were even filled with money. Ranging from construction designs to a gambling-themed bra, adult men walked with pride as they strutted their stuff and raised money for breast cancer patients in the area.
The Women’s Council of Realtors organized the cross-dressing “bra fashion show” in hopes of raising money for breast cancer patients in Anne Arundel County. Money also went towards a breast cancer awareness group known as The Red Devils that supports families dealing with breast cancer.
The Capital reported that the event was dedicated to Women’s Council of Realtor’s member B.J. Discenza, who lost her battle with breast cancer in September.
Event organizer and Anne Arundel County Women’s Council of Realtors President Pam Harrison took plenty of photos and shared them with Patch.
"It was over the top. Bigger than we ever could of imagine," she said. "We are so grateful to all our sponsors, models, and attendees for opening their hearts to such a great cause."
Take a look and see which bra is your favorite.
