Amish market should be on the list hands down the freshest around

Wharfside.
amen to that. Think how Denny's or IHOP could clean up over here on this side of the river. They'd wipe the competition off the map.
Matt February 27, 2012 at 04:31 PM
It is my understanding that IHOP is planing to open in the Giant shopping center in Edgewater in June or July. However, if the county messes with them the way they have with other restaurants, don;t count on that date.

Can not believe that Stan & Joe's is not on the list! They have a fabulous breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Try it out sometime. It is delicious homestyle breakfast and the Mimosa's and Bloody Mary's are half price. The whole deal is very cheap and delicious.

agreed ..... if you have not tried Stan and Joe's week-end breakfast's ...... you don't know what you're missing ...... they really go all out .......

SERIOUSLY? - 7-eleven, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Royal Farm Stores? For a good Breakfast? If I am going out for breakfast I don't go to pay for pre-prepared, plastic food. I want it to be made with real food, taste as good as, or better, than what I can make at home, and be able to sit down and relax. Maybe that is why there are not many good eateries in the Edgewater/Davidsonville area - if there are actually people that think the previously named places are a "good" place to get breakfast. I have not been to Wharfside, but I have heard it is very good. I have been to Killarney House and they have a good breakfast, but a little on the pricey side, and crowded if you go for the Sunday buffet. You can also order off the menu. The food is good. Have not been to Stan and Joe's lately. The last time we were there the noise level was about 88 decibels and gave me a headache. Hope they have fixed that problem. Years ago we went to Country Kitchen, which didn't have the ambience of a great restaurant, but the food was good, and the prices were decent, the service was good, and it felt like a "family restaurant". You got to know all the regulars. For a mid-priced breakfast with omlets, or bacon and eggs, etc. we now go to Annapolis to Eggcellence.

I love the Killarney House Sunday brunch, but from the comments above it sounds like I need to give Wharfside a try.

Kahve!
Chad S. February 27, 2012 at 09:58 PM
No doubt Wharfside has the best breakfast and the best coffee.
Marybeth Bonnar February 27, 2012 at 10:45 PM
The best breakfast in Edgewater is definitely the Wharfside. The Chesapeake Benedict is delicious and the omelets are huge.

I'd settle for a good diner like Nautilus, Double T or Silver Diner.
Cindy Morgan February 28, 2012 at 12:55 AM
Nola, I agree. But this site only covers Edgewater/Davidsonville, unfortunately.

I've hear lots of good things about the South County Cafe. I think I'll have to swing down to Deale soon and take you up on the advice!
Michele Proctor February 28, 2012 at 04:11 PM
Wharfside has great pancakes.
Trevor Gryffyn February 28, 2012 at 05:40 PM
Just wanted to add Carlson's Donuts to the list. Not just donuts, but you can get a proper bacon-egg-cheese sandwich there (grilled eggs, not microwaved like some places do.. I'm particular).
Marcia Zilliacus February 28, 2012 at 05:48 PM
FYI, Ledos stopped serving breakfast several months ago. Unless that changed, they should be removed from the list
TM February 28, 2012 at 06:01 PM
You guys need to add Stan N Joes South - it's the BEST breakfast we have in the area BY FAR. WHY ISNT THAT ON THIS POLL!?!??!?!?!?!? Ledo is done with breakfast - has been for some time - who comes up with this list?!?!? Fast food chains shouldn't be on here either - sheesh man cmon.... OH and Friendly's is the LOSER - my god is that place awful...
Stanley Davis February 28, 2012 at 06:21 PM
oh and by the way ..... not that it has anything to do with your breaksfast but the wait staff at Stan and Joe's is quite easy on the eyes ........... just saying .........
Trish H. February 29, 2012 at 12:48 AM
I can not understand why no one is mentioning the Sunday Brunch at Yellowfin!!! This is by far the best brunch buffet (outside some of the nicer casinos in Vegas) that I have ever been to!!! It's in Edgewater, please add it to the list.
Jamie February 29, 2012 at 01:15 AM
I agree!!!!! It is fabulous!
John M. Lee February 29, 2012 at 11:50 AM
SD, easy on the eyes at Stan & Joe's, you might need them eyes examined; Went to Yellowfin 2 Sunday's ago for Brunch, breakfast and lunch menu was stocked with very good and wide variety of food.
Kate February 29, 2012 at 04:11 PM
Definitely the best by far! Where else can you get an all you can eat buffet w/ hot
Amy Castellano February 29, 2012 at 11:16 PM
I know someone here said we in the waaaay SoCo aren't included on this list, but for a short drive a little further south into the Deale/Churchton area, you have South County Cafe, someone mentioned which is AMAZING. Petie Green's on the weekends, has really good french toast and Biscuits with Crab Gravy (don't knock it till you try it)--AND of course Heavenly Grill which has the best pancakes! So drive a little further south and enjoy the choices!

What happen to Chik fila. Chicken minis and a coffee
Brenda Evans March 01, 2012 at 07:14 PM
There should be two separate polls. One for weekday "I'm running late for work" breakfast and one for "I have time to sit and eat a real breakfast". Then I could split my vote. Dunkin Donuts/Killarney House. :) Either way.....we still need a Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel. Wishful thinking.
