Scenes from Greater Annapolis

In case you missed it, Patch didn't. Take a look at what was happening around Greater Annapolis in the past week.

Every day there is so much going on in Greater Annapolis and Patch is out there with cameras at the ready to help share just a slice of our local life. Check back each week for a photo gallery of local events, people and places.

This week we bring you a look at what was happening around Greater Annapolis in the past week. And what a week it was.

We started off in Fishing Creek Farms the day before Irene hit. They were dealing with another issue—taking the main road in and out of the community back from, well, you take a look.

We also saw how one local business owner is dealing with the frustration of a lengthy power outage. He's being a good neighbor, but at the same time concerned for the big weekend ahead.

Finally, we wandered on and off of Edgewood Road—one of our favorite roads to wander along.

Enjoy the photos and let us know what you think in the comments section, or if you know of an event you'd like to see our photographers at, let us know—email john.wilfong@patch.com.

I'm happy to report Grump's Cafe has reopened. The following is taken directly from their Facebook page, which was posted on Friday morning - "WE'RE BAAACK! POWER RESTORED. SAME WARM BEER, COLD FOOD AND LOUSY SERVICE. LIFE IS GOOD."
