I came to Rude Ranch several years ago—I was a homeless mom with four kittens at another shelter. There were a lot of other homeless moms and kittens at that shelter and soon our time was up. Luckily, Rude Ranch agreed to let us come here. My kittens quickly found homes and I retired from being a mom. I soon discovered how much fun it was to play with feather …

(Yes he was named after that country guy!) Garth holds several records here at Rude Ranch. He is the biggest guy here, (19.5 pounds—all muscle) and is actually taller than several of our small dogs. He loves bananas, watermelon and dill pickles. He was adopted from Rude Ranch as a kitten, but unfortunately lost his home during the housing crisis in 2008. Since returning, he has become an avid computer …

Ginger changed her luck a couple years ago. Ginger was a pet in Atlantic City, NJ when she found herself "in a family way." Not wanting to deal with Ginger's new family, she was abandoned under the Atlantic City boardwalk with other stray cats. Shortly afterwards the city decided to take action to reduce the number of feral and stray cats living under the boardwalk. They instituted a plan to trap and fix the cats that …

However, despite his adventuresome name, this is a pretty serious guy! (Check out his pic to see just how serious he is) Although Tarzan will swat at a toy occasionally, he would much rather site in your lap and be brushed, or help you read a book. Tarzan was given up to another shelter when his original family moved and decided not to take him with them. Unfortunately for Tarzan, he tested positive for …

I may look like I'm all white but I have a little splotch of orange on my head. I grew up on the other side of the Bay Bridge, on Kent Island. Unfortunately, after my people retired they decided they wanted to travel and didn't want to take me with them, so I came to Rude Ranch. I'm really like the food here! In fact, I like it so much that I kind of over eat...I'm one of the biggest cats here at Rude Ranch…

Oliver is a pretty "blue" guy that is about 4-years-old. He was sent to Rude Ranch from the Annapolis SPCA after he tested positive for FIV. While we originally brought him into the FIV area to be a buddy and playmate for some of our more active cats, we've found that Oliver would rather snuggle and read a book with you than play. Despite testing positive for FIV, Oliver has no known health problems. He would love to have…

I'm Harrison, Harry for short. I live here at Rude Ranch, but I'm kind of bored! I love to play, romp and supervise! (I even tried to sneak into the utility area to supervise the furnace guys when they were fixing stuff a couple of months ago.) I was sent here from another shelter because I am FIV positive [Feline Immunodeficiency Virus] and they couldn't keep me. Although I like it here, the other cats in my area can…

(You can guess how he got his name!) Jack was one of several cats that showed up at Rude Ranch recently just after a nearby house burned down. In addition to being neutered (at Rude Ranch's own Spay Spa & Neuter Nook), Jack's left eye was malformed and badly infected and needed to be removed. During his recovery we found out that if you scratch his right ear, he falls over and purrs! Jack likes to…
