In 1994, President Bill Clinton signed a piece of legislation transforming Martin Luther King Jr. Day into a day of citizen action and volunteering. To honor King and his relentless pursuit of justice and serving others, the South River Federation (SRF) proudly worked Monday to clean up the headwaters of Broad Creek along Harry S. Glenn Amsbaugh knew he would have some work ahead of him since the South River does not have the rich fertile soils like York. With a low-lying property along the South River, he had to battle higher salinity levels and poorer soil.
