Stop #4 on the Chowdown—Bill Bateman's

Madeline: 4 down, 24 to go ... This cheesesteak was quite good!

It again was dinner after a field hockey playday. I wonder if we weren’t starving if any of our cheesesteaks would get different ratings. Overall I thought this cheesesteak was tasty but again, the cheese was just melted on top of the bread  It looked similar to The Greene Turtle, there just wasn’t as much cheese as The Turtle…. I like the cheese and the steak to mingle.

The steak had a good flavor. It looked okay, as you will see by the picture that we remembered to take this time. However you can see how the melted cheese is just hanging out on top. The bread was pretty fresh but squishy too (that’s a technical term). Overall I give it a 4.2 out of 5 on our top-secret rating scale.

Sarah: Another Filed Hockey scrimmage and another cheese steak. Stop 4 on the Chowdown was Bill Bateman's. I really liked their cheese steak. The quality of the steak was good and very flavorful. The roll was good and not toasted too much. The cheese, American by choice, was plentiful but was melted over the top and was not evenly distributed throughout the steak.

The experience was enjoyable as we were accompanied by some of our SRHS field hockey team mates. I am looking forward to a fun filed hockey season and many more cheese steaks of Edgewater.  Overall I give it a 4.1 out of 5 on our top-secret rating scale.

What do you think about the "yellow" cheese?  It is our first cheesesteak with yellow cheese.

Where will our 5th stop be??? Comment and we will try to make our next stop to the place of whoever comments first.

If you want moldy bread and rotten food, try Bayside

We just might make Bayside our next stop. My family has never had bad food there.

The cheese steaks at Bill Bateman's have to be the WORST I have ever had. The wrong cheese, lousy steak and disgusting taste. I would stay away from that place!!

4.2 out of 5? Ewwwww... that sandwich looks so gross with the American cheese on the top. It looks lazy.
