Hi – My name is Deborah “Deb” Goode and I’m a certified interior decorator and an accredited home stager.
For more than 25 years, I’ve been helping clients, friends and family with their decorating and home staging challenges. Now, I would like to help you with your decorating and home staging questions in a weekly blog on Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch.
Since childhood, I have had a passion for interior decorating, and I would immerse myself in decorating magazines, clipping my favorite room pictures to add to an enormous decorating scrapbook.
I earned my Certified Interior Decorator (C.I.D.) certification in 2008 and completed my accreditation in home staging in 2009.
Before becoming a free-lance interior decorator, I worked as a design consultant for two home furnishing stores in Annapolis, Thomasville Galleries and Mastercraft Interiors. I am also a member of the Certified Interior Decorators International, American Society of Home Stagers and Redesigner (ASHSR), the Association of Property Scene Designers (APSD), and the Southern Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce.
Recently, I was featured on the front page of the July 29th Business Section of The Capital newspaper, in an article about me and home staging, entitled “Show Time: Setting the stage for home sales.”
I live in Churchton with my wonderful husband and my two pet birds.
But my main question is...
What decorating tips/questions do you want me to answer?
Each week I'll take a few questions and personally address them in my blog.
Got questions? Fire away!

I think you should do a "before" and "after" project on a difficult room. Sure, I'll volunteer a room!

I have a great project. My son's room is tiny and oddly shaped and we struggle to find ways to fit his furniture in the room and organize everything.

Welcome Deb!
Besides traditional night stands what else would you use?
