Last night I was doing the happy dance because it was a school night! I was singing the wheels on my daughter's car will be going round and round while she drives to school. The summer is fun with the kids home, I have 2 excuses why nothing gets done. However, after 8 weeks or so, I figure they are ready to learn again and for some structure. Really, school beats vacations, shopping and out to lunch with mom, concerts and hanging with friends day and night.... right? I think so!

So, last night singing "School Days", it's the most wonderful time of the year, was music to my ears.

And then it happened. Overnight we went from Pop Rock to Jazz Blues. The music I was hearing was, alarm clocks, I don't want that for breakfast, have you seen....? What's for dinner? (dinner?), What do you mean you didn't wash my pants? I don't need lunch, I get out at 10:30! WHAT???? WHY???? My husband now comes down to say good by and wish them well on the first day and asks me if I made coffee. Of course I did, and drank the whole pot, how else could I be singing the blues this early? I then told him his cup was in the backpack on the kitchen table, it's made just the way you like it dear, drink it on your way to dropping the back pack at school!

I check the clock, it's 6:30 a.m., I better start dinner I think to myself along with I hate being awake when school mornings are happening! I further think I must place an ad immidiately!

Wanted: Person to come over and wake my kids up on school mornings so I don't prove my neighbors right by acting like some crazy woman screaming while getting my kids out the door. Great pay, unlimited amounts of coffee and a brand new pair of headphones!
