The Gators went 3-4 for the weekend highlighted by some big wins for the 100lb, 11U National and 13U teams.

Gators 6 - PAL 20
The 80# Gators played a tough game against PAL. An early touchdown by Drew Mestas gave the Gators their only score of the day. Justin Martin made a terrific catch on a halfback option play but the Gators were held from scoring on the drive. Terrific play by Colby Chaney and Miles Waters helped keep PAL in check. Gators 6 - Chargers 0
The 11U D2 Gators won 6-0 against the Chargers to go 2-0 on the season. The defense posted another shut out, while scoring the lone TD of the game when Ryan Wellington recovered a fumble in the end zone. The defense played well all game, but came up big with 4 stops from inside the 10 to end the game. The line was anchored by Ryan Wellington on the end and Joey Trainor putting pressure up the middle. The line backers were led by BJ Burlace and Aaron Stecklow in the middle who filled their gaps, forcing the Chargers to go outside.

Gators 36 - Chesapeake 6
The Gators 13u remain undefeated at 4-0 with an impressive 36-6 win over Chesapeake. The Gators defense played strong to prevent the Piranhas from getting anything going offensively. The Piranhas scored on the last play from scrimmage to avoid the shutout. Mason Moseley, Anthony Rowe, Brandon Downs, Anthony Chapman, Kevin Galvin and Mason Drenner made it difficult for the Piranhas inside running game. On offense, the Gators were able to march up and down the field at will behind a strong performance by the offensive line and a power running game led by Nick Vermillion and Warren Dixon. Dixon had 3 rushing touchdowns and a 5 yard touchdown reception from Vermillion. Christian Frymark threw to Vermillion on a 3 yard touchdown reception. Frymark also hit Justin Sodeman in the endzone to convert an extra point in the third quarter.
