Here is our stop #1 - South River Pizza and Subs
Madeline: This is our first stop for the Chowdown. I am not taking it easy on them because it is the first review but I have had their cheesesteaks in the past and have enjoyed them. My cheesesteak looked good. It wasn’t too greasy. The bread was fresh and a good amount of steak. My only complaint was I would have liked more cheese. Overall I give it a 4.4 out of 5 on our top-secret rating scale. Although we are sticking with the plain cheesesteaks, my mom says the Texas Hold’em Cheesesteak is fantastic.
Sarah: This was also not my first cheesesteak from South River Pizza and Subs so I kind of knew what to expect. I really liked the cheesesteak. I thought it looked really good and although they are just plain cheesesteaks, I thought it was pretty flavorful. It was not too greasy. My only mild complaint was I thought the bread was a little dry…don’t get me wrong, that didn’t stop me from eating the whole thing (It was after three hours of practice). I thought there was a good amount of meat and cheese on the sub. Overall I give it a 4.3 out of 5 on our top-secret rating scale. I know this was our first Chowdown but I think, if I can eat another cheesesteak, I would definitely stop by South River Pizza and Subs again.
We hope you enjoyed the first review. We're going to try to included more details (and maybe some humor) in the future. We will probably do the next Chowdown this week. We did not want to come out of the gates to fast so we are trying to pace ourselves so we don't end of hating cheesesteaks.

There is NO local cheesesteak that will compare to ANY true Philly cheesesteak! Great blog guys! Looking forward to more!
